Dove Computers Donate Revamped Old PCs
Dove Computers donate rebuilt PC
At Dove Computer Solutions we like to consider ourselves a charitable bunch – with many a cake sale, half marathon and free hard drive destruction days under our belt, we feel we’ve earnt the right to say so.
However, that’s not enough for us, and we won’t stop there.
As an I.T. solutions company we have seen a fair share of archaic machines and bust up desktops. However, on occasion we have older, but still fairly functioning machine handed in once a new one has been purchased with the data transferred.
After collating what became known as the Dove Computers graveyard we decided it was time to do something with these machines and give them a new lease of life before sending them off to a new a loving home.
We had called several schools around the Ashbourne area enquiring as to whether any monitors, desktops or others could be of use to the children’s I.T. education. Fortunately, enough, most schools had a good number of monitors and machines for the children to use.
So, these revamped machines stayed with us, until an enquiry from Tissington Kindergarten saw the happy little tower find a new home.
Our technicians Louie and Szymon worked at rebuilding the desktop PC so that it was in a safe and usable state, with all information from its previous owner having been removed.
Whilst we do recycle the large majority of our disposed of machines, and have since seen all the empty PC cases taken for recycling, we can on occasion find a new home for them.
Should any local schools, nurseries or other charities be interested in a recycled machine, please don’t hesitate to get in touch on 01335 81 80 81 and we’ll work on rehousing a machine with you.
(Please note: All machine’s that are wiped and rehoused have had the explicit agreement to do so from the previous owner. We cannot guarantee we have a machine on site available at all times but can, on request, ask clients for their permission to reuse any discarded machines.)
