Dove Computer Solutions is a computer support company which is committed to providing new and existing customers alike, with professional, fast, honest and jargon-free computer services at reasonable prices. We aim to make your experience with us, as friendly, cost-effective and straightforward as possible. Our family run culture means that despite expanding in size, we like to treat customers to the level of support which we would expect ourselves.
The company has been expanded through positive word-of-mouth, and our qualified engineers, consultants and staff aim to provide total and professional computer solutions for both home based customers and small to medium sized businesses.
We treat every customer in the same honest way from home users, small businesses (operating from a spare bedroom), the home based remote worker to companies with over 80 employees.
We strive to get the job done right, the first time, but if we have to come back because we missed something, we believe we should do it for free until it is to the customer's satisfaction, no matter how long it takes.
We look forward to serving you with passion, integrity and good old traditional customer service.
Our Green Commitment
Dove Computer Solutions have always pursued an unwavering policy to minimise the impact of the business on the environment and green issues are at the forefront of all of our decision making. We think that it is tremendously important for all businesses to help the environment wherever possible, non more so than I.T. companies who could potentially have more of a detrimental effect on the environment than most.
With this in mind we recycle everything that ever comes through our doors, from computer components, cds, & mobile phones to cardboard, paper and plastics. All mobile phones and printer cartridges are donated to charities and we have also been fortunate to be able to donate many computers and components to charity, schools and other worth-while causes. The potential for reusing is endless and we have even had requests for old Cd's to be made into mobiles by ‘Brownies'!
We also recognise the harm that throwing away computers can do to both the environment and also wildlife. Many people do not realise that batteries for instance contain cadmium and mercury, plastic mouldings and housings contain halogens and printed circuit boards are full of PBBs (Polybrominated Biphenyls) and flame retardants such as PBDEs Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers). As a result, we strictly adhere to and encourage all of our customers to follow an EC Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and EC Directive on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS). This will become law next year, but our team believe that it is imperative to act sooner rather than later.
Conserving energy and other resources is also one of our key priorities. We take aggressive measures to minimize energy and other resource consumption by turning off all electrical equipment when not in use. Many people and companies are not aware of not only the environmental benefits of doing this, but also the financial savings that switching off computers, monitors etc can make to a household or business. All of our offices are designed with energy saving in mind and wherever possible we use environmentally friendly products and insist on using energy saving lights throughout. All of our employees are encouraged to ‘think green' and we are very pleased to say that they all share a common view and ‘awareness'.
We intend to heighten our environmental commitment in the near future by investing in renewable energy for our offices and also purchasing more environmentally friendly commercial vehicles and fuel. All businesses can do more and we hope to be able to perform a small, but fundamental role in helping to save a very beautiful planet.
